From June 24 to 26, second staff talks were held in the Republic of Kazakhstan on the organization and conduct of the joint exercise “Rubezh-2026” with units of the Central Asian Collective Rapid Deployment Forces (CAR CRDF).

On June 23, 2026, a ceremonial event was held at the Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation to mark the 20th anniversary of the CSTO Collective Security Council's decision granting the Institute the status of the Basic Educational Institution for Continuing Professional Education of law enforcement and special service personnel of the CSTO member states in the fields of counterterrorism, combating extremism, illicit drug trafficking, illegal migration, and other forms of transnational organized crime, as well as for the training of specialists for peacekeeping missions and teaching staff of educational institutions.

The CSTO Secretary General had a meeting with the Armenian Foreign Minister

On August 30, this year, the Collective Security Treaty Organization Secretary General Stanislav Zas had a meeting with the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who was in Moscow on a working visit.
In the course of the meeting Stanislav Zas and Ararat Mirzoyan discussed the dynamics of changes in the military and political situation at the regional and international levels, that has a direct impact on the vital interests of the CSTO member States. The sides also discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and stressed the need for its speedy resolution.

Ararat Mirzoyan noted that during its upcoming presidency in the CSTO the Republic of Armenia would make active efforts to develop and strengthen the Organization's potential.

In turn, Stanislav Zas assured that the CSTO Secretariat would make all necessary efforts to promote the priorities of the Armenia's upcoming presidency in the Organization.
