From June 24 to 26, second staff talks were held in the Republic of Kazakhstan on the organization and conduct of the joint exercise “Rubezh-2026” with units of the Central Asian Collective Rapid Deployment Forces (CAR CRDF).

On June 23, 2026, a ceremonial event was held at the Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation to mark the 20th anniversary of the CSTO Collective Security Council's decision granting the Institute the status of the Basic Educational Institution for Continuing Professional Education of law enforcement and special service personnel of the CSTO member states in the fields of counterterrorism, combating extremism, illicit drug trafficking, illegal migration, and other forms of transnational organized crime, as well as for the training of specialists for peacekeeping missions and teaching staff of educational institutions.

The CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov met with the Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan in Yerevan

On March 16 this year, the Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan had a meeting with the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, who arrived in the Republic of Armenia on a working visit.  
According to the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry, the sides exchanged views on a number of international and regional security issues, including the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the military-political situation around Armenia.
The CSTO Secretary General also visited the city of Jermuk, which was subjected to shelling during the aggravation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in 2022. Imangali Tasmagambetov met with local authorities and representatives of the Armenian Armed Forces and inspected the territories damaged during the hostilities.
