CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov visits sections of the Tajik-Afghan border 29.06.2026

From June 24 to 26, 2026, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov paid a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan at the personal invitation of President Emomali Rahmon.

During the visit, Talatbek Masadykov familiarized himself with the situation along the southern section of the external border of the CSTO area of responsibility. He visited border outposts and a border crossing point within the areas of responsibility of three border detachments. He also personally inspected the construction of a border road in the mountainous and hard-to-reach Shuroabad sector.

Together with First Deputy Chairman and Commander of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan, Lieutenant General Murodali Rabzhadzoda, he discussed the implementation of the CSTO Targeted Interstate Program for Strengthening the Tajik-Afghan Border.
