18.10.2022On October 18, 2022, the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, who is in the Republic of Tajikistan, met in Dushanbe with the UN Deputy Secretary General - Head of the UN Counterterrorism Department Vladimir Voronkov. The meeting took place “as margin notes” of the high level Conference on “International and Regional Cooperation on Border Security and Management to Counter Terrorism and Prevent Terrorist Movement”.
In the course of their conversation, S. Zas and V. Voronkov discussed the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility, the situation in Afghanistan and interaction between the UN Counterterrorism Department and the CSTO Secretariat in the fight against terrorism.
