On May 24, 2022, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikian, a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held via videoconferencing.
The defense ministers of the Republic of Belarus (Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin), of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov), of the Kyrgyz Republic (Lieutenant General Baktybek Bekbolotov), of the Russian Federation (Army General Sergey Shoygu), of the Republic of Tajikistan (Colonel General Sherali Mirzo), as well as the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas and the Head of the CSTO Joint Staff - Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov participated in the meeting.

On January 11-13, the Collective Security Treaty Organization Secretary General Stanislav Zas will visit the Republic of Kazakhstan to explore the situation on the ground and meet with the high political and defense establishments of the state, as well as with the command of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces.
In the course of the visit, meetings are planned with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tleuberdi, the Assistant to the President - Secretary of the Security Council Asset Issekeshev and the First Deputy Defense Minister - Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Marat Khusainov.
Stanislav Zas will also visit Almaty, where he will meet with Colonel General Andrey Serdyukov, commander of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces, familiarize himself with the situation in the city, visit the command post and CPF deployment sites.
During the meetings, he is expected to discuss the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and measures to normalize situation in the country.
