The Open International Youth Sambo Festival of National Teams of the CSTO Member States was held at the International Sambo Center in Moscow.
On August 17–19, at the invitation of Colonel General Alexander Manilov, Chairman of the Coordination Service of the Council of Border Troops Commanders of the CIS, a delegation of the CSTO Joint Staff headed by Colonel General Andrey Serdyukov took part in international events held in the area of responsibility of the Border Directorate of the Russian Federal Security Service for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
On August 14, consultations were held via videoconference at the CSTO Joint Staff with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states on organizing joint training activities for command and control bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system in 2027.
On July 15, 2026, the High-Level Regional Meeting “Enhancing Capacities to Prevent the Supply of Weapons to Terrorists in Central Asia” was held in Moscow, organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism with the participation of the Russian side.
The CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas is on a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan to meet with the country's high political and defense establishments
10.01.2022On January 11-13, the Collective Security Treaty Organization Secretary General Stanislav Zas will visit the Republic of Kazakhstan to explore the situation on the ground and meet with the high political and defense establishments of the state, as well as with the command of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces.
In the course of the visit, meetings are planned with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tleuberdi, the Assistant to the President - Secretary of the Security Council Asset Issekeshev and the First Deputy Defense Minister - Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Marat Khusainov.
Stanislav Zas will also visit Almaty, where he will meet with Colonel General Andrey Serdyukov, commander of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces, familiarize himself with the situation in the city, visit the command post and CPF deployment sites.
During the meetings, he is expected to discuss the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and measures to normalize situation in the country.
