On 13 April 2026, meetings were held in Astana between CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan Gizat Nurdauletov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Kosherbayev, and Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Dauren Kosanov.
From 13 to 17 April, annual training courses for representatives of the CSTO member states who do not have the status of military personnel are being held at the CSTO Secretariat.

On 26 December 2022, the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas met with Alexander Manilov, Chairman of the Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The Deputy Secretaries General V. Semerikov, S. Ordabaev and T. Khairulloyev participated in the meeting.
The meeting summarized the results of cooperation between the CSTO Secretariat and the CSTO Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops in 2022 and outlined activities to implement the Protocol on Cooperation in the Border Field between the Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops and the CSTO Secretariat in 2023.
The CSTO Secretary General presented Alexander Manilov with an anniversary medal "20 Years of the Collective Security Treaty Organization”.
S. Zas and the CSTO Deputy Secretaries General were presented commemorative medals "30 Years of the Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of Border Guard Troops " by the Chairman of the Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of Border Guard Troops.
