On 7 February, in Moscow, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, met with the chairmen of the committees (commissions) of the parliaments of the CSTO member states whose jurisdiction includes international relations, defense and security issues.

The event was attended by the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov and ambassadors of the Organization's member states.

The sides have summarized the results of cooperation within the CSTO in 2024. They outlined the main directions for developing the collective security system, strengthening the parliamentary dimension and deepening foreign policy coordination. They exchanged views on topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
