At the Losvido training range in the Republic of Belarus, peacekeeping units repelled a simulated enemy attack on a humanitarian convoy during the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026”.
These days, the 23rd International Combat Sambo Tournament for the Cup of the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, featuring law enforcement personnel from CSTO member states, is being held at the Ognikovo Park Hotel (19 Ognikovo, Istra District, Moscow Region).
At the Losvido training range in the Republic of Belarus, peacekeeping units practiced tactical procedures at a stationary checkpoint as part of the process of coordinating units and practicing joint actions during the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026”.
Today, at the Starodorozhsky training range in the Republic of Belarus, servicemen of the CSTO joint NBC protection and medical support formation began practical operations as part of the “Barrier-2026” special exercise.

A delegation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, headed by Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Colonel General Andrey Serdyukov, took part on January 27, at the invitation of the Government of Saint Petersburg, in ceremonial events marking the 83rd anniversary of the breakthrough of the Leningrad blockade and the 82nd anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
On this day, as a result of the Leningrad–Novgorod strategic offensive operation carried out by Soviet forces, the Nazi troops near Leningrad were decisively defeated and the blockade of the city was lifted.
The CSTO delegation participated in a solemn memorial ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery, paying tribute to the fallen soldiers and residents of besieged Leningrad.
During the ceremony, Hero of Russia Colonel General Andrey Serdyukov noted:
“ The courage and heroism of the defenders and residents of besieged Leningrad became a symbol of indomitable strength of spirit. Their feat is an integral part of our shared history, which we are obliged to preserve and pass on to future generations. We recall these heroic pages with deep respect and pride.”
He also emphasized that today, standing together in a single battle formation, the CSTO member states ensure their collective security and are ready to repel any enemy.
The delegation also visited the Naval Museum, where representatives of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Tajikistan familiarized themselves with the heroic history of the Russian Navy.
