On September 5, 2025, in St. Petersburg, a working meeting of Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representatives to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) with plenipotentiary representatives of the parliaments of the CSTO member states in the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and the CSTO PA Secretariat will take place.
Main topics for discussion:
⦁The practice and directions of interaction between the CSTO statutory bodies and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly;
⦁The progress of ratification of international treaties concluded within the framework of the CSTO;
⦁ Formation of a draft Program of activities of the CSTO PA for the convergence and harmonization of the national legislation of the CSTO member states for 2026-2030;
⦁ Cooperation with international organizations and expansion of the number of CSTO observers and partners;
⦁ Participation of members of the CSTO Permanent Council in the upcoming meeting of the Chairmen of the parliamentary committees on international relations, defense and security in Moscow in February 2026;
⦁ Current issues of institutionalization of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and the progress of the draft Agreement on the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
