ZVF_3234.JPGOn March 6, 2019, a working meeting of the leadership of the CSTO Secretariat with the authorized representatives of the parliaments of the CSTO member states, headed by the Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Peter Ryabukhin, was held at the headquarters of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. During the meeting, the Acting Secretary General of the CSTO, Valery Semerikov, informed the meeting participants about the activities of the CSTO at the current stage and the challenges facing the Organization. In his speech, the Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly focused on the activities of the Assembly in 2018 and plans for 2019. He particularly stressed the importance of work to bring together and harmonize the legislation of the CSTO member states in the area of ​​ensuring the security of the CSTO member states and confronting contemporary challenges and threats.
   In general, the working meeting became a new stage in the way of improving the interaction between the CSTO Secretariat and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. Its participants recognized the mutual usefulness of such meetings and confirmed their readiness to hold them on a regular basis.
