From October 18 to 23 this year, in accordance with the 2026 Plan for the Joint Training of Command and Control Bodies and Formations of Forces and Assets of the Collective Security System of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the “Cobalt-2026” special exercise was held at the Magob training range of the Special Purpose Units Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Acting Secretary General of the CSTO Valery Semerikov will speak at the session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Vienna
11.03.2019The session will analyze current trends in the field of drug trafficking, discuss global issues of countering illicit drug trafficking, will address the problems of preventing non-medical use of new psychoactive substances, treating and rehabilitating drug addicts, and expanding international cooperation in the anti-drug field.
In his speech at the session, Valery Semerikov focuses the meeting on the organization of work in the CSTO format on countering illicit drug trafficking, including on the results of the annual Canal operation, which received international recognition among experts from many countries and specialized structures of regional and international organizations . A separate theme of the presentation will be the issue of organizing interaction and strengthening mechanisms for international cooperation in anti-drug activities.
On the “margins” of the meeting, there will be working meetings of V. Semerikov with the leadership of UNODC, CARICC, high representatives of law enforcement agencies of the Member States of the Organization included in the Coordination Council of the heads of the competent authorities for combating illicit drug trafficking (CSPN) of the CSTO.
