From April 8 to 11, 2024, the XXI International Seminar-Meeting on Combined Martial Arts with the heads of combat and physical training of the security ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states took place at the Park Hotel "Horizon", Odintsovo District, Moscow Region.

The event was addressed by Gennady Troislit, the Deputy Head of the Organizational and Planning Department of the CSTO Secretariat, and Oleg Ufimtsev, the President of the Russian Federation of Combined Martial Arts.

On 10 April 2024, the 39th meeting of the Working Group on Afghanistan under the CSTO Ministerial Council was held with the participation of the Acting CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabaev and the CSTO Deputy Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov. The event was also attended by delegations of the Organization’s member states, the Secretariat of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and representatives of the UN CTO, the UNRCCA, the CIS ATC, the Coordination Service of the CIS Council of Commanders of Border Troops, the SCO RATS and the ICRC.

More than 1 million somoni allocated from the Reserve Fund of the head of state to reward veterans of the Great Patriotic War in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory Day.

168 veterans living in the country will receive the nonrecurring financial assistance.

Asia-Plus news agency was informed in the Council of Veterans of War and Labor that each veteran would be allocated 6 thousand somoni.

The mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali signed a decision on the allocation of funds from the city budget to reward veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the Great Patriotic War home front workers, participants in the Afghan war and the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident in honor of the Victory Day.

More than 351 thousand somoni will be allocated from the city budget.

Each of 46 Great Patriotic War veterans who live in the capital will receive financial help in the amount of 1,5 thousand somoni. All Great Patriotic War home front workers, participants in the Afghan war and the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident will receive 800 somoni each.


By the decision of the chairman of the Sogdiana region, Rajabboy Ahmadzod, one-time financial assistance will be allocated to participants and veterans of the Great Patriotic War of the north of the country. For these purposes, 738,000 somoni were allocated.

Participants and the Great Patriotic War disabled veterans, as well as the families of soldiers who died in this war, will receive 4,000 somoni each.

Persons who worked in the home front during the Great Patriotic War, as well as the recipients of the medals "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", "For the Victory over Japan" and "For valorous labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" will be given out 2000 somoni.

Thus, 46 participants and the Great Patriotic War disabled veterans, as well as the spouses of two soldiers who died in this war will receive 4 thousand somoni, and 273 labor veterans and recipients of the medals each will receive 2 thousand somoni.

In addition, the heads of all regions, cities and districts of the Republic of Tajikistan will allocate funds to reward veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers.

To date, 168 veterans live in the Republic, in 2019 there were 242 veterans.

The youngest veteran is 94 years old, and the oldest one is 105 years old.

About 300 thousand inhabitants of the Republic of Tajikistan fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, 92 thousand of them died and went missing in action. 65 soldiers were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, 15 ones were awarded the Order of Glory, 55 thousand soldiers were awarded orders and medals.
