The CSTO Deputy Secretary General

KHAIRULOEV Takhir Sheralievich

Born on February 27, 1974 in the city of Kyzyl, Tuva ASSR.

In 1997 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Military Institute of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, in 2005 he graduated from the Military-Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in 2010 he graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

From 1997 to 2003, he served in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. From 2003 to 2020, he served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan in various positions, from the commander of the Airborne Assault Brigade to the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, then the consultant of the Defense Security Department of the Security Council of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Since January 11, 2021, he has been working in the CSTO Secretariat as the CSTO Deputy Secretary General.

Military rank is the Major General (in reserve), awarded with government medals.
