On 20 April 2026, a meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Russian side. During the meeting, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov delivered a report entitled “On the progress in implementing the decisions of the November (2025) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and measures taken to counter challenges and threats to collective security.”
On 17 April 2026, a working meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between Acting CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabaev and the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Central Asia, Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Kaha Imnadze.
On 17 April 2026, the 17th meeting of the Working Group under the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils on information security was held in Moscow, with the participation of delegations of representatives of national coordinating and competent authorities on information security, as well as experts and specialists from relevant national structures and agencies of the Organization’s member states.
On 16 April 2026, the 21st meeting of the Council of the CSTO Consultative Coordination Center for Computer Incident Response (CCC CSTO) was held in Moscow, with the participation of delegations of representatives of national competent authorities for computer incident response of the Organization’s member states, as well as a delegation of the CSTO Secretariat headed by Umarzoda Umar Safar, Head of the Countering Challenges and Threats Department of the CSTO Secretariat.
On 17 April, the annual training courses for representatives of the CSTO member states who do not have the status of military personnel were completed at the CSTO Secretariat.
MEDIA ACCREDITATION FOR COVERAGE OF MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF FOREIGN MINISTERS
05.06.2018On June 11, 2018, a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will be held in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan). Accreditation of media representatives to cover the event is provided by the International Information Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In order to receive accreditation for coverage of the CSTO COM meeting, media representatives arriving in Almaty must send the information to the e-mail address cstomedia@gmail.com, y.mustafin@mfa.kz until 06.06.2018 in accordance with the established form (see Appendix No. 2), copies of passports.
Admission of media representatives to official events and to the Press Center will be carried out only if there is a badge with a photo, a corresponding floater and an identity document (a copy of the passport).
Issuance of accreditation badges will be made one day before the arrival of the heads of delegations. We ask the embassies to identify one of the employees of the diplomatic staff for their receipt and further transfer to the media representatives of their country.
Press room
The press center will be located at the InterContinental Almaty Hotel (floor “C”) and will be provided with free Wi-Fi Internet access. The press center will operate from 09:00 h. To 16:00 h. June 11, 2018.
Distribution of video, photo files
The press center will provide distribution of high-quality video, photo files for accredited media. If you are interested in receiving them, you must contact the staff of the International Information Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
Media access to the CSTO COM meeting
Personal operators and photographers according to the format (1 operator + 1 photographer) will be allowed to jointly photograph the heads of delegations, sign documents, access to the press, as well as protocol shootings of the CSTO Ministerial Council meeting in a narrow and extended format.
Nutrition
A coffee break zone for accompanying persons and media representatives will be organized at the InterContinental Almaty hotel (press center).
Security questions
Delegates are requested to cooperate in the event of security checks. At the entrance, all packages as well as personal items will be subject to security checks. Security checks do not apply to heads of delegation.
Inspection
A security check is carried out at the security checkpoint, providing for both personal searches and personal items and equipment.
