Today, in Osh, the Kyrgyz Republic, under the chairmanship of Kirill Smurov, First Deputy Head of the General Administration of Narcotics Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, a meeting of the Working Group on the organization of anti-drug operations and other activities within the competence of Coordination Council of the Heads of the Competent Authorities for Countering the Illicit Drug Trafficking of the CSTO member States was held.
The event was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies of Russia, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic Belarus, the Republic Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic Tajikistan, and the CSTO Secretariat.
The meeting participants have discussed issues of counteraction to illegal narcotics trafficking in regions of collective security. They noted the necessity of close coordination of efforts of competent bodies of CSTO member States in this sphere.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to continue work on the implementation of the Plan of Coordination Council of the Heads of the Competent Authorities for Countering the Illicit Drug Trafficking Main Activities of the CSTO member States for 2022.
