On October 30, 2026, the results of the “Channel-Caspian Lighthouse” subregional anti-drug operation were summed up as part of the implementation of the 2026 Plan of Key Activities of the Coordinating Council of Heads of Competent Drug Control Authorities of CSTO Member States (CCHCDCA).
From October 18 to 23 this year, in accordance with the 2026 Plan for the Joint Training of Command and Control Bodies and Formations of Forces and Assets of the Collective Security System of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the “Cobalt-2026” special exercise was held at the Magob training range of the Special Purpose Units Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
An international scientific and practical conference entitled “Greater Eurasia: Institutions, Development, Cooperation” was held at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, jointly organized with the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ICCA RAS). CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov took part in the conference.
A working meeting between CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and Kazem Jalali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, was held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation.
An international scientific and practical conference entitled “Transformation of the Global Security System and the Shaping of a Eurasian Security Framework” was held at Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU).
Statement by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states on international security issues

We, the CSTO member states, express deep concern over the continuing deterioration of the international security system.
We consider it important to reaffirm our position in favor of upholding and strictly observing the principle of equal and indivisible security, enshrined, in particular, at the highest level in a number of documents of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, including the 1999 OSCE Charter for European Security and the 2010 Astana Commemorative Declaration of the OSCE Summit. This principle is based on the inseparable link between the security of each state and the security of all other countries, and on the inadmissibility of strengthening the security of some states at the expense of the security of others. It is important to ensure a uniform interpretation of this principle among all OSCE participating States.
We emphasize that, in accordance with the aforementioned documents, no state, group of states or organization can be assigned primary responsibility for maintaining peace and stability.
We support further strengthening the leading role of the UN Security Council in maintaining international peace and security, as entrusted to it by the UN Charter.
The CSTO member states call for building a world free from wars and conflicts, violence and pressure, for developing comprehensive, equal and mutually beneficial cooperation, and for achieving comprehensive, sustainable and cooperative security that takes into account the interests of all states and peoples.
