During his visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov was received by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
On October 29, 2025, a working session on “Prospects for collective security in Eurasia: The CSTO area of responsibility as a space for dialogue” was held in the Belarusian capital as part of the III Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security. It was attended by representatives of expert communities from the CSTO member states, Uzbekistan, India, Vietnam, and a number of other countries.
On October 28, 2025, at the headquarters of the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk, a special event was held on the topic “Synergy of the CIS, the CSTO, and the SCO approaches to deradicalization: challenges and opportunities.” The event was held under the chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Commonwealth and was aimed at strengthening practical cooperation between the three leading regional organizations.

On October 29, 2025, a working session on “Prospects for collective security in Eurasia: The CSTO area of responsibility as a space for dialogue” was held in the Belarusian capital as part of the III Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security. It was attended by representatives of expert communities from the CSTO member states, Uzbekistan, India, Vietnam, and a number of other countries.
The meeting was moderated by Yuri Shuvalov, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the CSTO Secretariat.
Igor Sekret, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, and Taalatbek Masadykov, Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO, addressed the participants with opening remarks.
An exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues related to ensuring regional security.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for implementing the ideas of the Eurasian Charter of diversity and multipolarity in the 21st century. Representatives of expert communities recognized the significant potential of this draft document as an initiative capable of coordinating constructive interaction between countries in the region in the interests of security and development in Greater Eurasia.
The participants in the discussion noted the important role of the Issyk-Kul Initiative, adopted in June this year as part of an expert dialogue organized at the initiative of the CSTO Secretariat, in terms of establishing the ideological basis and format of the expert community.
Representatives of the CSTO Secretariat reported on work being done on a Conceptual Report entitled “The Great Eurasian Partnership: Shared Responsibility for a Secure Future,” which is scheduled for release in November of this year.
