The open International Youth Sambo Festival of national teams of the CSTO member states was held in Moscow, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
On August 26, 2025, in Moscow, in accordance with the Plan of Consultations of representatives of the CSTO member states on Foreign policy, security and defense for 2025-2026, consultations of representatives of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states on the agenda of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly were held.
On August 27-28, 2025, within the framework of the Kyrgyz Republic's chairmanship in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a regular Coordination Meeting of the chief narcologists of the CSTO member states was held in the Issyk-Kul region.
Participants in the joint trainings with the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO "Interaction-2025", special trainings "Search-2025" and "Echelon-2025" will regroup in the Republic of Belarus by August 29.
A regular Coordination Meeting of the chief narcologists of the CSTO member states was held

On August 27-28, 2025, within the framework of the Kyrgyz Republic's chairmanship in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a regular Coordination Meeting of the chief narcologists of the CSTO member states was held in the Issyk-Kul region.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, heads of drug treatment services of the CSTO member states, specialized departments of ministries of education, internal affairs bodies of the CSTO member states, and employees of specialized international organizations.
The meeting participants have discussed trends in the development of the drug situation in the CSTO area of responsibility, as well as exchanged statistical and other information on the prevalence of drug–related morbidity and mortality, especially among young people.
We got acquainted with the draft Anti–Drug Strategy of the CSTO member states for 2026-2030, the preparation of this document for approval at the next session of the Organization's Collective Security Council, and the draft Statement of the CSTO Collective Security Council "On Strengthening cooperation in countering drug trafficking."
They agreed that preventive activities in the field of combating the threats posed by drug trafficking required further improvement of the level of interdepartmental and international cooperation.
They discussed positive experiences in the field of treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts, new regulatory legal acts regulating drug treatment, problems of screening factors of substance use, motivational counseling and routing, as well as issues of preventive anti-drug work in the field of education.
The participants of the event got acquainted with the activities of the Republican Center for Psychiatry and Narcology, as well as other medical organizations that provide assistance to patients with drug addiction, highly appreciated the system of drug treatment in the Kyrgyz Republic, noted its comprehensive nature and preventive orientation, as well as the proper level of interaction between psychiatrists, narcologists and other organizations and departments for purposes of population health and prevention of non-medical drug use.
