The active phase of the command and staff training with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region, “Rubezh-2025”, has begun in the Kyrgyz Republic 17.09.2025

Today, in the Kyrgyz Republic, at the “Edelweiss” training center, the active phase of the “Rubezh-2025” command and staff training with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CAR CRDF) started. The theme of the training is “Preparation and conduct of combat operations by the CAR CRDF to destroy illegal armed groups that have invaded the territory of a CSTO member state”.

The opening ceremony of the training was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic Major General Erlis Terdikbaev, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Imangali Tasmagambetov, representatives of the armed forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, the Republic of Tajikistan and invited officials.

The battle flags of the 8th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of Rezh, Order of Lenin, the Red Banner, Order of Suvorov Division named after I.V. Panfilov, which were then carried in a solemn procession by the flag bearers in a single formation with the flags of the Organization and the states.

Speaking at the ceremony, First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic Major General Erlis Terdikbaev said, in particular: "Today, our countries face common challenges – protecting sovereignty, territorial integrity and stability within the CSTO space. The situation in the world is unstable, and we must be prepared for any challenges: from transnational threats to attempts to destabilize our region.

The “Rubezh-2025” is not just a training; it is a test of our combat readiness, cooperation, trust and ability to act as a unified force in the face of modern threats.

The training ground will be used to practice elements of command interaction, maneuverability and firepower. Each soldier is required to demonstrate precision, discipline, a high level of training and dedication to their work.

I am confident that you will accomplish the tasks assigned to you with honor and dignity, demonstrate the unity and coordination of the Collective Forces, and confirm that the Central Asian region is under reliable protection”.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation Imangali Tasmagambetov said: "The training begins amid a complex international situation. New hotbeds of tension are emerging in various regions of the world, and old conflicts are escalating.

The main threat to the states of the Central Asian region is the real possibility of radical extremist groups moving from the Middle East to the southern borders of the region's states, spreading their ideology throughout our countries and recruiting young people into terrorist organizations.

Under these circumstances, successful combat operations require close coordination between national armed forces, other security forces in the region, and the Collective Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region were established to ensure the military security of the region's states, including participation in repelling external military aggression and conducting counter-terrorism operations.

Today, the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces are an important component of the Organization’s Troops (Collective Forces) and must be ready to respond in a timely and adequate manner to emerging challenges and threats to national and collective security in the Central Asian region.

The upcoming trainings are aimed at coordinating command structures, improving the practical skills of commanders and staff in preparing and conducting combat operations, as well as the combat skills, professionalism and field training of national contingent personnel.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic for its extensive preparatory work and for creating the conditions for the high-quality conduct of the training.

I am confident that the training will serve to further improve and enhance the readiness of the Collective Forces to perform their earmarked tasks and will be conducted at a high methodological and organizational level.

I wish all training participants every success in completing their training and combat tasks”.
