A meeting was held between CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin 10.04.2026

On 10 April 2026, a meeting was held in Dushanbe between CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

The interlocutors held a substantive exchange of views on current issues of regional security in the context of growing challenges and threats.

Talatbek Masadykov informed about the progress in implementing the Action Plan for the execution of decisions adopted at the November (2025) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the Organization’s priority areas of activity during Russia’s chairmanship. Particular attention was paid to the coordination of foreign policy efforts within the CSTO, as well as to issues related to improving collective response mechanisms.

The CSTO Secretary General also spoke about strengthening the Organization’s international standing, noting in particular its expanding interaction with such international structures as the United Nations and the SCO, as well as plans to develop relations with ASEAN countries and the League of Arab States.

Talatbek Masadykov also noted the intensification of the CSTO Secretariat’s information and analytical activities.

Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue and enhancing practical cooperation through foreign policy agencies and relevant structures.
