On April 25, 2025 in the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia took place a solemn graduation of representatives of the senior staff of law enforcement agencies and services of the CSTO member states: the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, who improved their qualification in the form of specialized training on the topic “Training of personnel and leading specialists for law enforcement agencies and services of the CSTO member states”.
28 April is the Day of Establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. We recall that on 28 April 2003. in the city of Dushanbe, the Collective Security Council, guided by the need to establish a military staff body responsible for the implementation of the tasks of the military component of the Collective Security Treaty, adopted a decision on the establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
On 25 April this year, the CSTO Secretariat completed the annual training course for representatives of Collective Security Treaty Organization member states that do not have the status of military personnel.
On 24 April 2025, in Moscow, the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hosted an international scientific and practical conference organized by the CSTO Secretariat and the CSTO Joint Staff on the theme: “Contribution of the peoples of the CSTO member states to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War”.
On April 22, during a meeting between the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov and the MSLU Rector Irina Kraeva, the CSTO Secretariat and the Moscow State Linguistic University signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document provides for the implementation of educational and scientific projects.

The event was attended by the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, Head of the CSTO Joint Staff, Hero of the Russian Federation Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov, representatives of the leadership of the Organization's member states, Eurasian interstate associations, specialized educational institutions, as well as leading experts in the field of international politics and security.
During the plenary session, the Conference participants listened to a video address by Mr. Sadyr Japarov, Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council and President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The keynote speeches on the heroism of the Soviet people, the historical role of the defeat of Nazism and the importance of preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War were delivered, in particular, by the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Alexander Fomin, Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Imankulov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Neverovsky, CIS Deputy Secretary General Nurlan Seitimov, Head of the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center Yevgeny Sysoev, Deputy Chairman of the CIS Border Troops Commanders Council Alexander Manilov, Head of the Military History Museum of Almaty, granddaughter of the legendary commander of the Hero of the Soviet Union Major General Ivan Panfilov Alua Baikadamova, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan Khairiddin Usmonzoda. The Conference was moderated by Fyodor Voitolovsky, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of IMEMO named after E.M. Primakov of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Natalia Kharitonova, Doctor of Political Sciences, Associate Professor, Press Secretary of the CSTO Secretariat.
The CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov and Alexei Spirin, Deputy Head of the Research Institute of Military History for scientific work, made a presentation of the encyclopedia “The Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”.
During the public forum held on the margins of the Conference, topical issues on the current international agenda were discussed in detail, with an emphasis on security problems. Particular attention was paid to the topic of jointly countering attempts to falsify history.
At the initiative of the Head of the Information and Public Relations Division of the CSTO Secretariat, Yuri Shuvalov, the meeting participants exchanged views on the elaboration of an information strategy for the CSTO member states and the formation of an association of analytical centers of the CSTO member states. The participants in the discussions recognized the advisability of further work on these issues.
