Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization took part in the World Public Assembly 20.09.2025

Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Samat Ordabayev took part in the first World Public Assembly. The two-day event is being held at the World Trade Centre and brings together over 5,000 participants from more than 150 countries.

The forum is timed to coincide with International Peace Day, and its program includes seven panel discussions and more than 40 thematic platforms: a media forum, a youth forum called “Generation of Unity”, a business forum on social responsibility, a congress of the World Writers' Organization, and others.

During his speech at the plenary session “International Integration Associations: A New World Architecture”, Samat Ordabayev outlined the main priorities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov sent his greetings to the participants of the Assembly.

Greetings from CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov:

Dear participants of the Assembly, friends, colleagues!

On behalf of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, I am honored to welcome you to the opening of the First World Public Assembly.

Today, here in the heart of Russia, leaders of public diplomacy, prominent politicians, diplomats, scientists, cultural figures and young people have gathered. You are united by a common goal – the pursuit of a sustainable, just and harmonious future for all nations.

The modern world is extremely complex, with trends towards cooperation and collaboration coexisting alongside trends towards competition and rivalry. The challenges and threats to our well-being are complex in nature. They are no longer limited to the military sphere, but stem from imbalances in development, a crisis of confidence, growing intolerance and humanitarian disasters. Therefore, our common security cannot be ensured solely by force or diplomatic methods at the highest level. It requires a solid foundation — a foundation of public trust, mutual understanding and conscious unity. It is precisely these issues that occupy a key position in the activities of the Assembly of the Peoples of the World.

The theme of the World Assembly, “A New World of Conscious Unity”, is not an abstract philosophical concept. It is a practical necessity and a strategic goal. Sustainable security is only possible when it is based on shared values, respect for cultural diversity, and the rule of law.

Public diplomacy, humanitarian cooperation and intercultural dialogue, which are the central themes of the forum, are not merely complementary to official negotiations. They are vital tools for conflict prevention, confidence-building and the construction of societies that are resilient to crises and disintegrating political practices.

In this context, the presentation of the Public Recognition Award “For Service to Humanity” takes on special significance. We honor those whose actions make an invaluable contribution to creating the very foundation for a safe world — a world in which trust, cooperation and mutual respect flourish.

I urge all participants to use this unique platform to develop concrete initiatives and recommendations. Your ideas, your energy and your commitment to peace are the foundation for the architecture of global security in the 21st century.

I wish everyone fruitful work, sincere and open dialogue, new ideas and partnerships. May our joint efforts strengthen trust and unity among nations and make a real contribution to building a world of conscious unity.
