In the period from 12 to 13 March 2024, in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a strategic command and staff training is being conducted under the supervision of Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, Chief of the Joint Staff, during which issues related to stabilizing the situation in the Central Asian region of collective security in the context of the growing threat of a crisis situation are being worked out.

On 11 March 2024, the CSTO Secretariat hosted a round table on "Cooperation in the Information and Analytical Sphere to Ensure Collective Security" on the occasion of the Tajik Press Day. The event was attended by the Head of the Department for the Study of Regional Security Problems of the Strategic Research Centre under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sayhamid Sharifzoda, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the CSTO, Khasan Sultonov, and representatives of the Tajik media.
A plan for the CSTO regional operation "Illegal" to counter illegal migration for 2021 has been agreed
31.03.2021On March 31, 2021, under the chairmanship of the Secretary of the Coordination Council of the Heads of the Competent Authorities of the CSTO Member States on Combating Illegal Migration, the Head of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police Lieutenant General Valentina Kazakova, a meeting of the International Headquarters of the CSTO regional operation "Illegal" was held.
The meeting was attended by representatives of all national headquarters of the CSTO member states involved in the "Illegal" operation and the CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov.
In the course of the event, representatives of the national headquarters of the Organization's member states substantively discussed the concept of the operation under the code name "Illegal-2021" and agreed on the timing of the stages of active measures in the current year.
In addition, in the course of the meeting, measures for coordinating interaction in the process of the operation were considered and agreed upon, communication channels and the procedure for exchanging information, as well as preparing and sending responses to possible requests from the interacting parties, were determined.
Based on the results of the work of the International Headquarters, it was decided to submit the agreed Plan of operation “Illegal-2021” for signature to the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas and the Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Heads of the Competent Authorities of the CSTO Member States on Combating Illegal Migration, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, Police Colonel-General Alexander Gorovoy.
