The parties have discussed the holding of a meeting of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers in Dushanbe this spring, military, military-technical and military-economic cooperation in the CSTO format and the implementation of the priorities of the Tajik side in these areas for the period of Tajikistan's chairmanship in the Organization in 2021.
Stanislav Zas emphasized the importance of increasing the level of readiness of collective security troops (forces) to carry out earmarked tasks, including through joint operational and combat training activities. In particular, they talked about improving the command and control system of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces, raising the level of training of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces and equipping them with modern weapons, military and special equipment, and special means, taking into account their possible involvement in peacekeeping operations under the auspices of the UN.
The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan and the CSTO Secretary General have discussed the upcoming trainings of the assets of collective security, which are planned to be held on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2021.
