The Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov received the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states and the Secretary General of the Organization in Cholpon-Ata on June 30. The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
On June 30, 2025, a regular meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers was held in Cholpon-Ata (the Kyrgyz Republic) under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz side, which was attended by the Organization's Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov.
Safar Umarzoda, Head of the Department for Countering Challenges and Threats of the CSTO Secretariat, took part in a special event (side-event) on "Countering Radicalization leading to terrorism and Extremism" organized by the Russian Federation on the margins of the OSCE Annual Conference on Security Review, where he reported on the measures taken by the CSTO on countering terrorism and extremism, and willingness to share the experience gained.
The 20th meeting of the CSTO Military Committee was held, in the course of which the chiefs of General Staffs of the Armed Forces of the CSTO member States discussed the development of military cooperation

On April 14, this year, the 20th meeting of the CSTO Military Committee was held in Moscow under the leadership of the Chairman of the Military Committee, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov.
The meeting was held via videoconferencing. It was attended by the Acting Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia Lieutenant General Kamo Kochunts, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces - First Deputy Defense Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Major General Viktor Gulevich, the First Deputy Defense Minister - Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Marat Khusainov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General Erlis Terdikbayev, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces - First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, Lieutenant General Emomali Sobirzoda, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, and the Deputy Secretary of the Organization, General Takhir Khayrulloyev.
In the course of the meeting, participants exchanged views on the military and political situation in regions of collective security and agreed to coordinate joint actions to neutralize threats to military security.
The meeting defined the order of implementation of the proposals made by the defense ministers of the CSTO member States on January 13, 2022, in the course of the extraordinary meeting of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council in the part relating to the improvement of the crisis response mechanism and organization of the use of the Organization's Collective Forces.
The parties considered joint operational and combat training activities in 2022, identified areas for further work to improve the organization of international flights of the armed forces of the CSTO countries, and also assessed the activities of the Army General A.V. Khrulev Military Academy of Material and Technical Support as the basic organization for training military personnel for CSTO member States in Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics specialties.
In conclusion, it was noted that the outcome of the Military Committee meeting would contribute to strengthening the system of collective security and maintaining regional security.
