Assignment: Survive

They deliberately risk their lives for the sake of people's right to information. Increasingly, working in areas of armed conflict, reporters are becoming the number one goal for militants. July 2018: In the Central African Republic, journalists died: Orhan Dzhemal, Alexander Rastorguev and Kirill Radchenko. April 2018: in the Daman region of the Afghan province of Kandahar, reporters from foreign and local publications were killed because of the explosion.

November 2015: in Syria, a car with the RT film crew came under fire from the militants, one anti-tank guided missile blew up next to it, the second hit the car. Roman Kosarev was among the wounded. I met him and other colleagues at a recent training seminar in the Moscow Region All-Russian Institute for Advanced Studies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. We were taught to survive. This course is for the first time for representatives of the media specializing in counterterrorism in the CSTO format.
