On 22 April 2024, the CSTO Secretariat hosted a working meeting between the Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Samat Ordabaev, and the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Central Asia, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Kakha Imnadze.
From 22 to 26 April, this year, the CSTO Secretariat is holding an annual training meeting for representatives of ministries and departments of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states without military status.
The meeting was held in the city of Moscow under the chairmanship of Viktor Zinoviev, Secretary of the CSTO Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation (ICMEC, Commission).
The CSTO Secretary General by phone informed the Chairman of the Organization's CSC, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan about the implementation of the CSC Decision on normalizing the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan
07.01.2022On January 7, 2022, the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Collective Security Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
The Secretary General informed him about the details of the implementation of the Decision of the Collective Security Council on the situation, adopted on January 6, 2022, in order to normalize the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Stanislav Zas also reported on the progress in resolving organizational issues in sending the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces to this country. At present, the transfer of peacekeeping contingents by military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces continues.
The main tasks of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces are to protect important state and military facilities, to assist the law enforcement forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan in stabilizing the situation and returning it to the legal field.
